Is it possible to travel by public transport?

Regional train from Geneva to Salgesch, regional train from Visp to Salgesch, Interregio from Geneva to Sierre and one station regional train from Sierre to Salgesch. Interregio from Visp to Sierre and a regional train station from Sierre to Salgesch. Bus connection Sierre – Salgesch.


Where is the train station in Salgesch?

The train station is a 10-minute walk from the hotel. From the hotel you go to the church. At the church you take the path on the right side and keep walking straight ahead. At the crossroads, go straight ahead to the train station.


Is there luggage transport?

From Salgesch train station, Leuk train station or Sierre train station on request (up to 24 hours before arrival).


Is there parking available?

From January 2021, parking fees will apply to all parking areas in Salgesch. Our guests are welcome to obtain parking permits on site and pay for them. We also have hotel parking spaces that are available to our guests, but these cannot be reserved. Disabled parking is available.

Can I check in before 3pm?

If the rooms are ready, they can be occupied before 3 p.m. Otherwise we will provide you with a luggage room for your suitcases.


Is breakfast available before 7/8 am?

On request, please let reception know before 8 p.m. the evening before.


Are pets allowed?

Your dog is very welcome in our hotel. We charge CHF 8.- for your four-legged friend.


What other excursion ideas are there?

In addition to excellent wines, the wine village also offers a beautiful landscape. The Horst above Salgesch, Pfyn-Finges, Gerundensee and much more invite you to linger. In addition, our hotel guests can rent e-bikes from us and explore the breathtaking area.

Salgesch is very centrally located. A reservoir is definitely worthwhile as a destination in midsummer. Whether Lac d`Émosson in Salvan, Lac de Tseuzier near Ayent or Grande Dixence, the highest gravity dam in Switzerland: there is definitely something for everyone.


What are the ideas for bad weather?

In addition to the wine tasting, a visit to the Salgesch or Sierre wine museum is highly recommended. The Underground Lake in St Leonard is also worth a visit and is a 15 minute drive away.


Is it compulsory to reserve a table in the Höllenwein restaurant?

Without a reservation we cannot guarantee you a free table. Depending on the season, we recommend making an early table reservation with us. Please note our restaurant opening hours in the Restaurant section.


Does a wine tasting need to be reserved?

Here we recommend direct contact with the wineries.


How do I make a cancellation?

We ask that you notify us of any significant changes to your reservation as early as possible and in writing. If the reservation is canceled in full and we are not responsible for this, the following cancellation fee is owed:

- 30 -15 days before arrival = 25% of the lost room revenue
- 14 – 0 days before arrival = 100% of the lost room revenue
